Islam means submission and obedience to God. God’s word was revealed to Muhammad and recorded in the Qur’an. ISIS clearly violates the Qur’an and blasphemes the word of God.
Hi homies. I am not a Muslim, but in an effort to separate fact from fiction, I’ve started reading the Qur’an.
God’s word was revealed to Muhammad over a 23 year period beginning in 610 AD. God dictated in the first person to Muhammad, who served as a faithful messenger recording each revelation in what would become the Qur’an. It was Muhammad’s responsibility to spread this word of God.
If you are someone who is considering joining ISIS, please READ THE QUR’AN FIRST. ISIS disgraces the Qur’an, which clearly states that if you kill innocents and non-combatants, you will go to the FIRE, not the garden. ISIS is seducing you to follow them into Hell. They want to kill, conquer and colonize, but the reason is NOT for Allah. So you owe it to yourself to ask, what then is the reason?
In several revelations God tells Muhammad to tolerate non-believers, as it is God’s responsibility to judge everyone in the afterlife. While I haven’t read the entire book yet, a few things immediately impressed me.
The Qur’an advocates violence only for self-defense, and a Muslim (ISIS) who kills other Muslims is doomed to Hell.
It is a widely known FACT that ISIS kills Muslims. In sura (chapter) 4, aya (verse) 93, the Qur’an CLEARLY states “If anyone kills a believer deliberately, the punishment for him is Hell, and there he will remain.”
In 6: 69, God tells Muhammad it is NOT the role of Muslims (or ISIS) to judge or hurt other people, “The righteous are not in any way held accountable for the wrongdoers; their only duty is to remind them [NOT KILL THEM], so that they may be mindful of God.”
In 5: 68-69, Allah states, “Do not worry about those who defy God. For the [Muslim] believers, the Jews, the Sabians, the Christians – those who believe in God and the Last Day and do good deeds – there is no fear; they will not grieve.”
In 3: 134, God speaks of a heavenly afterlife “for the righteous, who give, both in prosperity and adversity, who RESTRAIN THEIR ANGER AND PARDON PEOPLE – God loves those who do good.”
The Qur’an warned of the coming of ISIS.
In 3: 7, God says this about the Qur’an, “Some of its verses are definite in meaning – these are the cornerstone of the Scripture – and others are ambiguous. THE PERVERSE AT HEART EAGERLY PURSUE THE AMBIGUITIES IN THEIR ATTEMPT TO MAKE TROUBLE”.
Also in sura 3, ayas 103-105, the Qur’an states, “Hold fast to God’s rope all together; do not split into factions. Be a community that calls for what is good, urges what is right, and forbids what is wrong. Do not be like those who, after they have been given clear revelation, split into factions and fall into disputes: a terrible punishment awaits such people.”
The Qur’an accepts the Bible and the Torah as valid scriptures.
In sura 2, aya 136, the Qur’an states, “So, say, ‘We believe in God and in what was sent down to us and what was sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and what was given to Moses, Jesus, and all the prophets by their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we devote ourselves to Him.’
In 3: 3 it states, “He has sent the Scripture down to you with the Truth, confirming what went before: He sent down the Torah and Gospel earlier as a guide for people, and He has sent down the distinction between right and wrong.”
My friends, I have known and worked with several Muslims during my journey through life, all of whom were good, respectful people. Most were devout; refrained from alcohol, pork and gambling, fasted during Ramadan; while some were very ritualistic; prayed toward Mecca five times a day, washed their feet before prayer. I’ve worked with several of these folks for years, and I observed in them only the upstanding qualities of goodness and righteousness espoused by the Qur’an.
I know there are, and I have previously posted about, off-shoots of Islam like Sharia law that I find abominable, and which must NEVER take root in American society. Stoning women, marrying 13-year-olds, killing homosexuals. While I’ve only read 25% of the Qur’an so far, I have not found evidence thus far of Allah sanctioning such atrocities. The book does support marrying multiple women and an-eye-for-an-eye system of justice, but frankly I don’t find that entirely distasteful.
The one thing that is clear to me is this. While the words of the Qur’an are certainly open to interpretation, nowhere does it support or justify what ISIS is doing. ISIS is not Islam. ISIS is an enemy of Islam. Beware those of you who believe you’ll go to the Garden after detonating that suicide vest. It is straight to Hell where you will go. But don’t take my word for it. READ THE QUR’AN.
Peace, love, dove homies.
